Don't feel like an ass. I'm sure all the people who appreciate fruitits are on your side. Personally, I love melons.

Thanks ever so for the comment; indeed I simply misspelled my entry, and have since deleted it from my collection (adding the correct term, fruitarian).

(And yes, I do feel like an ass right now!)

Shouldn't it just be fruitarian? I think fruitist would also be a good term.
