      <description>I regularly hear people use "incidence" (frequency of occurrence) in place of "incident". They are then forced into "incidences" in place of "incidents". &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;definitions:&lt;br /&gt;"&lt;a href="/words/incident"&gt;incident&lt;/a&gt;" is a occurrence&lt;br /&gt;"&lt;a href="/words/incidence"&gt;incidence&lt;/a&gt;" is how frequently something occurs&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;usage:&lt;br /&gt;"I was there.
