      <description>In most traditional cases, I'd agree. But the word has found use on the internet when referring to a large volume of &lt;a href="/words/hyperlinks"&gt;hyperlinks&lt;/a&gt;. In this case, "linkage" refers to a measure of links rather than a single link.</description>
