      <description>The original motor (a Harley-Davidson) was named after the shape of the &lt;a href="/words/valve"&gt;valve&lt;/a&gt; covers. The Panhead replaced the &lt;a href="/words/Knucklehead"&gt;Knucklehead&lt;/a&gt; and then was itself replaced by the &lt;a href="/words/Shovelhead"&gt;Shovelhead&lt;/a&gt; engine. :-)</description>
