      <description>It's the thudding of d's that gets me. Some of the Italian languages don't appeal to me in terms of the way they sound. Napolitano for example, because it now seems to be a caricature of itself.</description>

      <description>Sardu is the Sardinian language, that unfortunately I didn't learn when I was little and therefore can't speak. It's among the most conservative Romance languages, with sounds as hard as stones that closely resemble Latin.</description>
