Great list. I think I'll steal a few for my Wort to the wise list of brewing terms!

And bilby, you're right on skunked. I believe hops are the culprit.

I've heard that 'skunked' means that beer has gone off due to exposure to light, which makes compounds in beer break down into thiols, similar chemicals to those found in a skunk's spray. Hence the dark bottles.
