I just added cucchiaio, Italian for spoon. I figured it was okay, since I have other words from different languages on here, such as hefeweizen and gewürztraminer. Don't know what I've started, because now I'm going to have to list every other word in the Italian language as my favorite. Italian is way too cool for school. I love pretending that I have an Italian accent.

Hm, very interesting question! Why are we attracted to certain words? I don't see anything impure in liking words because of positive personal associations. Though there do seem to be other factors at work, like cultural associations, or because of the musicality of some words -- some sounds do seem to be inherently pleasing. Or painful. I have no idea why the word "preggers" makes my skin crawl. It has nothing to do with the meaning -- I like kids. It's not just the sound -- I like the word "diggers." There's just something saccharine and sickly cutesy about it, to me.

My only concern is: Do I purely believe that these are the best words, or am I associating pleasant memories/ personal meaning to the words I have chosen?
