Thanks, SoG. I was tickled to see your Peanuts list.

Ahem. Thank you all for your passionate commenting. *Brushes a few stray vowels off his shirt*. I'm happy to report that Spike is now ensconced on the list, drinking root beer.

It doesn't count when it's in the list title comments? Oh great. Now I have to go fiddle with all of my lists.... ;-)

Sheesh. Fine, I get the "50-word list genre" thing. That's cool. Just don't call it "forced closure." And, um, I think you have to put "in 50 words" in the list title. Rules is rules. :-P

Honestly, I don't remember the alligator, but you already know my vote. Fifty is a fine number, by the way. :-)

Wow. Thanks, mollusque. I was part of a mob that changed something. All hail the mob!

Back to the matter of closure. C'mon guys, a list in 50 words is a Wordie genre. Rduke's Action Movie in 50 Words played to rave reviews. The problem isn't the length limit, but that I left Spike out. He isn't one of my favorites, but other folks like him so I'm happy to put him back in. Anyone going to speak up for the alligator?

Hey, it's mollusque's list to do with as mollusque pleases. And if mollusque chooses to force closure, that's up to mollusque! Besides, it's a well-crafted list just as it is.

(Mollusque, I'm practicing typing your name quickly. This is really helping.)

forced closure = silliness. arbitrary and unwordielike. i applaud its abolition.

Joe Cool stays in or I resign.

Okay, okay, no closure. Yet. The 50 word limit is a good tool though, since the list has an order. Snoopy imitated a lot of things, and I don't want to just pile them on. If I add Lucy I have to add Violet (since he imitated them both) and I avoided listing the human characters by name. The arm wrestling is a reference to Lucy. So, I'll trade the alligator for Spike. Any other suggestions from the Peanut Gallery before I rebuild the list? :-)

I was also disappointed by Spike's absence. And Lucy is missing, too. She was his number one kissing partner!

7 months ago uselessness said:

Yeah, what's with the contrived word limit? We don't "force closure" around here! That is so unWordie!!

7 months ago bilby said:

Make it 52 and a deck of cards. Go oooooooooon!

7 months ago mollusque said:

I had Spike on my draft list, but I decided to keep it to fifty to force closure. So if I add Spike the question is what to cut out.

Great list! But what about Snoopy's siblings? (Spike is my favorite.)
