Jennarenn, some of the most brilliant people I know are poor spellers. You can be the Boggle line judge. :-)

I'd love to go to a Boggle gathering as long as I didn't have to, you know, actually play Boggle. Hate that game. (!) I know, I know. I'm a wordie, but can't spell worth...frass.

I'll just come in my regular clothes: fur coat, chain. I won't wear nametags because the sticker ones'll pull out my fur and the pin ones puncture my skin, which sucks.

Maybe y'all can just call me Jim Smith. Or reesetee.

No worries sionnach, if you can't play boggle we can try a round of sheeps and tides.

Maybe I can wear my fox costume and terrorize skipvia.

Personal note: I have never played Boggle in my life. (But I can generally claw my way to level 50 at FreeRice.com, though I can never stay there for more than three words)

Sure, fun for you guys. I'd never find my way home.

7 months ago yarb said:

Perhaps we should all wear nametags saying "reesetee".

7 months ago uselessness said:

On second thought, I want to wear a nametag that says "reesetee" and really confuse people. Particularly, you know, reesetee.

The first rule of boggle club is...

Or we could make up all new names just for the gathering, and never speak of them again once it's over. Mass confusion!!

7 months ago yarb said:

I'd attend such a gathering, but only if we all wore our real names, and never used our Wordie pseudonyms, in order to preserve anonymity.

Too late for me, uselessness...

I remember reading some time ago about a gathering of people named Jim Smith. They all wore nametags.

7 months ago reesetee said:

That would be fun! Especially since I don't have a real name.

7 months ago uselessness said:

You know, there should be an official Wordie gathering sometime. That would be pretty amazing. And we can all wear nametags with our Wordienyms, and are NEVER allowed to use our real names.

7 months ago skipvia said:

You're on, c_b! As long as we don't invite sionnach. That guy scares me...

7 months ago hellocasey said:

that's it folks. a wordie bogggle tourney for '08 seems to be in the cards.

7 months ago chained_bear said:

Skipvia, if we ever do meet in real life, we're playing Boggle! WOOOO!!!

7 months ago skipvia said:

This would make a wonderful public list--the best words ever (legitimately) found while playing Boggle. I'll have to get the set out later tonight...

7 months ago chained_bear said:

I love Boggle! Great list idea!

7 months ago reesetee said:

Sounds like you need to drag the husband kicking and screaming to Wordie. ;-)

7 months ago hellocasey said:

ewer was of much contention- the husband didn't believe it was a word, so we looked it up. three rounds later, he didn't believe it was a word, so we looked it up again. the same was the story with sexton. you get the idea.
