So busy I don't have time to scratch myself

This is an open list, anyone can contribute.
[ feed | comment feed | cloud | sort:  alpha / order added ]
Sometimes work and life is so hectic that I don't have time to hang around wordie and immerse myself in its pleasures.

If this list remains empty it will be a poignant memorial to those moments (or months, as the case may be). But if those who are less busy have the time to contribute an especially intriguing or amusing or not-too-time-wasting-but-still-stimulating word/comment to the list then it will serve to bring pleasure to the time-poor.

Only one rule: be fleeting. And remember: the Devil finds work for idle hands and there's no rest for the wicked. (Even less for the righteous, of course.)

All this talk of good food...I may cry.

2 months ago reesetee said:

Yum! I must confess, I'd prefer tiramisù or Armenian nutmeg cake over funnel cake. (Sorry, dontcry.)

2 months ago Prolagus said:

Ok, have a 10 minute nap and you'll find a tiramisù in the kitchen.

(the recipe is in Tiramisù)

2 months ago frindley said:

It's 7am. I haven't slept yet. Must go take naplet.

2 months ago frindley said:

But where are the destructions for the tiramisu? I've never made one.

2 months ago Prolagus said:

I added tiramisù because, unlike many people think, you (I) can do a perfect* one in less than ten minutes.

*Out of modesty, my tiramisù is incredibly good.

2 months ago dontcry said:

Extra powdered sugar please, r!

I'll take the cake recipe!

2 months ago frindley said:

Actually the Armenian nutmeg cake is very very good. Is it appropriate Wordie etiquette to post recipes?

2 months ago frindley said:

Do you mean to say. You're. Pillaging. My List??!

2 months ago Prolagus said:

frindley, please visit the list "Greetings" before coming back to work.

2 months ago frindley said:

Argh. Bring me some Armenian nutmeg cake before I faint.

2 months ago reesetee said:

Funnel cake coming up, dontcry. With or without powdered sugar?

Pro, we don't serve 7457s with cream here. Where do you think you are, Bavaria?

2 months ago sionnach said:

Oh, no, a pandemic of choanopitaphilia has taken over the thread.

2 months ago Prolagus said:

Being mouthless, it's probably a gift morse. And reesetee, I will have a 7457, but with no cream.

2 months ago bilby said:

I was worried the gift horse might have eaten the funnel cake, but it doesn't have a mouth. We can all relax.

2 months ago dontcry said:

Yum! Any funnel cake?

2 months ago reesetee said:

Ready for dessert? We have shoofly pie. :-)

2 months ago dontcry said:

Isn't it though? *wiping mustard and pretzel crumbs from mouth*

2 months ago reesetee said:

Dontcry, that's so very Pennsylvania Dutch. :-)

2 months ago Asativum said:

As long as your scratch yourself on the behinder, at least not in public.

2 months ago dontcry said:

the hurrier I go, the behinder I get

I'll add just those conversations that it's indispensable you read. But don't forget you also have a "gift list" (like a gift horse, but with no mouth).
