That rumpapumpum sound definitely goes on a list for rope-tension snare sounds. Scottish snares don't make rumpapumpum sounds--they leave that for the tenors and basses. :)
I'll definitely consider the Northern Territory next practice. Milikapiti looks particularly useful.
If you're not an expert drummer yet, may I suggest you try some Northern Territory toponyms. How about Angbangbang? Milikapiti? Angurugu? Milingimbi?
What's the thing the Little Drummer Boy does? Is it ruppa pa pum? On his bum?
Ohh... right. Thanks!
Don't go there. You'll end up with testicular cancer.
Aww, Pro, that's perfect! I'm going to write lyrics for it using only Stupid Drumming Terms! :) It won't make much sense, because I don't speak drum. (Yet.)

It could also work to that Chim-Chiminy Chim-Chiminy song thing in Mary Poppins, I imagine.
Chained_bear, do you need a lozenge?
A Motown fan would have to add "papa cita papa cita" to this list.
You might want to consider drinking heavily, first. I listened to it for about 15 seconds and wanted to cut my ears off.
I'm trying to use all of them in this song.
