I would expect that oi frequency would increase with proximity to the Yiddish language, but I'll be the first to admit I don't personally know any Ashkenazi. A raspberry is the sound made with the lips: a fart sound, or the blubbery noise produced when one sighs with his mouth loosely closed.
I'll use ones without remorse when referring to "good ones" or "cold ones" but most other uses annoy me to no end.
good ones, though I don't know anyone who uses oi in all seriousness. Would raspberry be a kind of sound?
Btw, does the word ones bother anyone? I know people who can't stand it.
Might I suggest...
duh, ehhh, wait, oi, let's see, i dunno, (raspberry)?
