Such a pity that AZ has been AWOL for so long. So many fantastic lists, entertaining titles, sharp comments.

One of the things I love about the Boston accent is that a lot of it comes from the English dialect/pronunciation of people from East Anglia/Norfolk (in England) in the sixteenth/seventeenth centuries. They brought it to Massachusetts Bay, and it stuck around this long.

I love regional accents and regional speech patterns. These disappearing pockets of individuality are linguistic treasures. What a wicked pissa.

I suppose it's not terribly Boston-related, but my friend from Bahstin says beer and bear both as beeyah, which makes parties at houses in the woods of the Pacific Northwest an interesting excursion.
