Bilby, you're right about the Russian word, which I would transliterate as yaichko, and about its origin (as a diminutive of яйцо – yaytso – "egg"), but the pronunciation is more like this yah-EECH-ka (the second Cyrillic letter is a full "i", not a "short i").

яичко is a Russian word meaning testicle, literally 'little egg'. Pronunciation would be something like 'YAYCH-ka', rolig or someone else knowledgeable might be able to confirm/correct that.

OK, I feel somewhat guilty even viewing this list, let alone contributing to it, but, if we're talking about the "nearby parts" (should that really be plural?!?) I have to say this list is incomplete without:

Hi c_b, a search of OED online turns up more testicular terminology (some of it obsolete): cobblers, dimissaries, dowsets, genitors, goolies, knackers, marbles, monkey glands, nadgers, nutmegs, pendants, and pills. "Lamb fries", which I suggested before, are "The products of lambs' castration" eaten fried.

As Lance Armstrong would say, it really takes ball to start a list like this.

You know, I like both john thomas and trouser snake, but it seems like they don't belong here, despite the caveat in the list description that the list includes terms for nearby parts. I added them anyway--but not peter, about which I feel the same way as I do about tampax--I don't like the term enough even to put it on a list of terms I don't like. Thanks for the suggestions!
