Taffeta, sweetheart...
I want to say taffeta, but I don't think that comes from a particular place. Wikipedia says the word is of Persian origin, meaning "twisted woven."
Wait a minute! Fez!
damask is an excellent addition - thanks, c_b!
damask? (Type of fabric from Damascus.) I still love this list!
how about bloomers?
levis? (No one seems to spell it "levi's" anymore.) Maybe not. This is a cool list!
I think brogan actually derives from the Irish word for shoe, brog. I think opening it up to types of fabric, as well as articles of clothing is a good idea - it allows words like madras, cashmere, denim, oxford as well.
brogan? just a guess... would madras count if it's not actual clothing but a type of fabric? (and a city in India)
