The guy I bought my car from has a 250+ lb dog/wolf crossbreed named Sue. It's a boy.
Mark Edge, a talk radio host I enjoy, has a cat named Señor Grouchy Pants.
Ha ha! Those are great names! Was Kobayashi named after "The Usual Suspects" character, by any chance?
Actually I'd love to add them--and glad you posted them on the list page for all posterity--but I feel like I have to limit the list to pets I've known personally (or at least met). There's just too much temptation for me to put down some legendary pet names that I never actually got to name a pet!
(Because, you know, the name has to suit the pet's pet-onality, after all... Which makes me wonder about Commissioner Goofypants!)
I don't know if you still update this one, but my dogs' names were Kobayashi and Commissioner Goofypants, and my snake was named Scrape. Does that help?
Hey, thanks uselessness! And AZ, of course.

Yeah, Abraxas, your list inspired me. I haven't figured out how to type something like "go here for AbraxasZ's Aminals list" and have it come out the right link, or I would have done so in my list description.
Love this list. I have an aminals list myself.
Of *course* you call Caspian Wimblewether Manfred. Wouldn't everyone?
Well, no, they're not necessarily all *my* pets, and they're not necessarily all the pets I've ever been acquainted with. Just, you know, the ones with cool names that I remember, or the ones that impressed themselves on my memory in some remarkable way.
Actually I say hello to Caspian Wimblewether every morning at work. I call him Manfred.
The finches, silly!
I get it--so these are pets with which you spent much time (and probably on which you spent much money). Not those incidental critters who blow through one's life. :-)
Tip! "Tip, if you don't come here..."
Well, I never meant the list to be comphrehensive. You'll notice a few glaring omissions, and mostly I was trying to keep track of all the outstanding or otherwise notable names.
Linus? Who the hell was Linus?
Are you forgetting Maggie, Scout, Cleo, and Linus? And Tip??
