Quail dove, orangequit! I think I'll just file them on my existing lists. Otherwise I'd need lists for panvocalic dinosaurs, beetles, worms...

And might I suggest a panvocalic bird wird list as well? (Mandt's guillemot, house martin, Archibuteo, guineafowl, alpine chough, fork-tailed gull....)

Reesetee, your list was the inspiration for my own, but I broadened it to include other kinds of typewriter words.

By the way, how about great crested grebes for a left-handed bird phrase?

Thanks, pterodactyl! Bilby, that's how I came up with the idea for this list--my own screen name. However, there is nothing you can do to make me add "reesetee craves bad rat sewage." Nothing at all--common as it may be.

True, jennarenn--but I was surprised that I couldn't wring more out of the I, O, and U on the right!

The left hand has the good vowels, as well as t, r, and s.

Thanks to you both. Every now & then I find another word for this list--mostly by accident. Oddly, there seem to be more "left-handed" words than "right-handed." Or maybe that's just my left-handed bias.

Oh, I think keyboards make quite a bit of noise, slumry (though not as much as typewriters once did). Just sit in a cubicle farm for a while on a busy day. ;-)

I can only wonder, though, about the puzzlement of the Very Young over the concept of the sound of typing. Sound? barely.
