| more about Kalleh: | While my education is more scientific in nature, over the years I have become quite a logphile. My husband and I run a word and language discussion board (Wordcraft: http://wordcraft.infopop.cc/ ). While small, it is a fairly active forum, and we have a lot of American and English posters, adding spice to many of our discussions. While they don't admit it, those Brits are more prescriptive than we Americans are!
I found this site by looking for Blogs that mention "epicaricacy," my absolute favorite word. Why are we still using "Schadenfreude" when we have a perfectly acceptable English alternative? These are the kinds of questions I ponder every day. |
Welcome Kalleh! You already sound like One of Us. Beware! ;-)
Hi Kalleh, welcome! I had been unaware that there is an English equivalent to the S-word, thanks for enlightening me.
