My favourite book in the entire world is The Random House Dictionary of the English Language, the unabridged version from 1967. When I was much younger I went looking through that book for interesting and unusual words that made me grin, and then copied them down one after another, word partofspeech - definition, longhand on yellow legal pad. If only I had had Wordie then, but of course I have it now.
I am the sort of folk that finds a gem like this and proceeds to take it over. You will get to know me very well, I think, this little community here. You have no choice in the matter.
