Let us know when the book is finished, we'll all buy a copy and then make lists that really don't have anything to do with the book, but have the title in the list description.
Hi whichbe. Your question puzzled me until I did a search and found it in my own comments. It stands for I plus Not-I equals Everything. I evidently never got around to adding its acronym when I was on my Jan Cox tear back then. I originally had trouble with adding my preferred version (I + Not-I = Everything) due to restrictions on symbols John had early on, thus the ipn-iee and not following up properly on a referent.
I finally got around to reading the definitions you've written for some of the ponies. I haven't laughed so hard in quite a while. I only wish I was witty enough to contribute some!
B-b-b-but those lists were part of Wordie heritage! *sobs* Next thing will be yarb putting a bulldozer through the Biff!s *sobs more, pausing for glance at camera*
Thanks. I have a bit of an odd obsession with recontextualization and duality. And I'm still mourning the recent loss of DFW, one of my most favorite authors.
Ahaha, that 'í' was just some sort of cut-n-paste oddity. I'm originally from Philadelphia, Pennslyvania, currently reside in Oakland, California and have lived in a variety of other states in a slow-motion venture between coasts of the ol' USA. But, I do have a sort of affinity with Japan since my parents raised me Buddhist, so as a child there was often a swarm of old Japanese ladies at my house.
Um, thank you for complimenting my kinda-use of "bamf." It is a good word. Uh, am I supposed to be thanking you? Either way...and your "My Little Phonies" list made me laugh. Which admittedly is not so much that hard to do.
Oh! In regard to your Belistful list: the be- prefix's entry I just ran across in the online OED has hundreds of words in — they let subscribers email non-subsribers with links to let them access an entry for three days; I immediately thought to ask the owner of that list if they'd like one to be-'s entry! (You can email me at <snipsnipsnip> if you'd rather not post yours here.)
Oh yes! I have a longstanding love for Cat Power particularly; What Would the Community Think is one of those rare albums I love straight through, but: her first through You Are Free all see a good amount of play around here, and pieces of the Covers record—her "Bathysphere" and "Red Apples" were my (glowing) introduction to Smog.
I wasn't expecting anyone would ask that. :) Hooray for.. "slowcorist"s? and their appreciators.
thanks for, " argumentum e silentio". Could it be another approach, as compared to " argumentum ad baculum"? Sort of like carrying a big stick, or showing a taciturn , less aggressive approach?
Congratulations on passing 5000 words, whichbe! Interesting to see that 11 months ago you might have been the first Wordie with 100 comments in a week. But closing in on 1000 comments in a week--Wow!
I played with your name.
get a load of this. there seem to be some odds and sods of appeal to a self-professed neologism junkie
Thank you for the inpiration.
I have a lot to learn here.
@Your comment on my username,
fwyxx is a letter-replacement I did with my real name when I was a kid. I've always liked the sound of it. Thanks for noticing!
Welcome to the Pacific NW! *rummages in the welcome wagon* Here's a start for your list: skookum.
Yes! Comparative wordiology list, please!
Congratulations, whichbe. I hope you'll be very happy there, and that you'll report on all the local words. :)
Cool! Do you like rain?
In a month I'll be moving north to Olympia, Washington. I'm pretty excited!
Happy birthday, which!
Let us know when the book is finished, we'll all buy a copy and then make lists that really don't have anything to do with the book, but have the title in the list description.
Good luck, whichbe--see you back here soon, we hope. :-)
Good luck with your book, whichbe! By the way, are you writing it or merely authoring it?
I am currently lost in the world of authoring a book and listening to Chiptunes non-stop, but I miss Wordie and will return.
firmung is the German word for confirmation
I need your help for my knuckle tattoos.
thanks for the uppraisal. I hope I can continue to beinperiod.
Don't worry, Prolagus, my appreciation can be purchased with a small contribution.
Sigh! So it's not me? (See fbharjo's profile)

I put the ack in acknowledge.
I have risen to your challenge at nasaaq. You are the first to acknowledge my attempts on Wordie, so thank you!
I finally got around to reading the definitions you've written for some of the ponies. I haven't laughed so hard in quite a while. I only wish I was witty enough to contribute some!
Ahahah, yeah, I was surprised that I was apprehensive about deleting my BUGGY UNDELETABLE LISTS for their novelty, but I'm happy to see them gone.
B-b-b-but those lists were part of Wordie heritage! *sobs* Next thing will be yarb putting a bulldozer through the Biff!s *sobs more, pausing for glance at camera*
Thank you SO much for all the excellent additions to my "Joe the plumber" list. Big smiles from me!
I'm not exactly sure, but I think it was May of 2007.
when did you join this site??
Thanks. I have a bit of an odd obsession with recontextualization and duality. And I'm still mourning the recent loss of DFW, one of my most favorite authors.
your lists are of infinite jest, thanks:-)
I need your help on disenchanted.

Where are you from whichbe? On umami, you typed Itís instead of It's, which makes me think that the í button is on your keyboard.
I do fancy myself a systemic thinker... I just hope that word never makes me snirtle they way 'synergy' does.
I think that being esemplastic is the uber new togetherness.
Lots of -gen words today! (Which is great, because I've been collecting them for a while)
Um, thank you for complimenting my kinda-use of "bamf." It is a good word. Uh, am I supposed to be thanking you? Either way...and your "My Little Phonies" list made me laugh. Which admittedly is not so much that hard to do.
Have a nice day.
Please, don't stop. *hee-heeing*
I have a feeling nommo might go on one of your lists.

..but I love you for trying to be helpful! Maybe one day, I'll give it a try....*snort*
My 10,000th word was ziz. I ate a cranberry muffin in honor of the occasion.
Congratulations, whichbe! Which word be your 10,000th?
Well done whichbe! 10,000 words is quite the achievement.
Another Wordie into the stratosphere beyond the 10K! Good work, which!
you've gone above and beyond... I'm impressed.
I was simply going to say: get yourself dead, ted
Thanks for the Gramogram additions, whichbe. Good work!
Oho, please help yourself to my heapings (hopefully, those whichbe-pleasing)!
thanks for, " argumentum e silentio". Could it be another approach, as compared to " argumentum ad baculum"? Sort of like carrying a big stick, or showing a taciturn , less aggressive approach?
I get that little rush from panvocalics. I've harvested quite a few from your recent listings: sportularies, drunkorexia, sthenobulia, recubation, elutropia, and flatulopetic. Thanks!
Thanks. This site has been feeding my voracious verbivore brain nicely. I get a little endorphin rush every time I read over my favorite words list.
Congratulations on passing 5000 words, whichbe! Interesting to see that 11 months ago you might have been the first Wordie with 100 comments in a week. But closing in on 1000 comments in a week--Wow!
Wouldn't it make more sense to do that on the word pages themselves? Or even on the list, if they're all going on the same list? Just askin'.
I notice you are an obsessive usage-note-adding person, like myself. :)
Sorry to hear about the ankle, hope it's better soon!
Ahahaha! And I should thank my ankle for being sprained, as to allow me to sit in front of my computer such a ridiculous number of hours.
I've now started to credit sources from within a word's citation, as I should've done, as per chained_bear's suggestion (above). But here's some due credit: The Phrontistery, Worthless Word of the Day, C.S. Bird's Grandiloquent Dictionary, Luciferous Logolepsy, Double-Tongued Dictionary, WordCraft, and World Wide Words. I've probably added about 900 words from skimming these sources.
Dare I suggest it would be polite to at least acknowledge, somewhere in the many words you have listed today, the work of Michael A. Fischer.
obviously a very skilled wordsmith!
I know, I've been in fear of being surpassed on the "most comments" list all week. A worthy adversary!
I think that you may have been the first person I've seen collect more than 100 comments in a week. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong.
