Also: I very much like jennarenn's idea of categories--not only would it make nominating easier (in my opinion), but it would also spread the wealth--as in, the monstrous scads of money the winners will haul in. ;-)
That's why I won't mention *any,* reesetee. There are just too many! I have pages and pages of favorites, and I've stopped adding favorites, there are just so many. I wonder how I have time to do anything else in life but sit around reading Wordie all day.
I agree on the Wordie Guidelines, jennarenn. I also agree with c_b (and could nominate a zillion of her lists). Actually, if this goes on much longer, I'll have to nominate three-quarters of the lists on Wordie--so many great ones! :-)
Everything you just said is duly noted in my book, jennarenn. Even the thing about my list that I don't really like, because, well, you have a good point. :-P
Aw, you guys are too sweet. I still think that the Word Guidelines for Wordie needs to be in the running, b/c it was the first list used to convey an idea, rather than a list of words.
Another thought: Could this evolve into a series of superlatives? Funniest? Best Breach of the Fourth Wall? Most Creative? Best All Around?
I'm not nominating any lists (there are too many! see my comment on... some other page where I commented about this), and I do love jennarenn's Conversations list, but there's more than one of those: Conversations for the Ages. (I made it before I realized jennarenn already made one!)
Of course, someone has to nominate Conversations because of its dashing thoroughness, so it might as well be me. :-) I'll also nominate the old classic, It Has a Name?? Thanks, jennarenn, of course, for nominating my list but I hate that one and will have to cancel out your yea with my nay. ;-)
Thanks, jennarenn. I'm flattered. :-) Actually, I've been tagging more than one list/word/whatever. Doesn't seem possible to me that anyone could choose just one of each!
Oh! *bats eyelashes* I'm so flattered!
*runs off to nominate others*
Ok, anyone who wishes can feel free to make a category, and then I will make a list pointing to each of the words which represent.
Post categories to List of Categories for List of the Year 07 . I suggest funniest-loty07, etc., but others may wish a different standard.
Thirded.

Now there's the life.

*aaaah* Wouldn't it be just grand?

Still another thought: Nobody's nominated Characters for a Jewish Star Wars, but it's consistently on people's favorites lists.
Road trip!
One more: Arby's Whatever you rolled in, it sure smells delicious. :-)
I'd second all of the below lists, plus Specific Excrement and minced oaths.

I nominate Creative onomatopoeia, Finnish locative cases and Action movie in 50 words.
Thanks, uselessness! (I'm still adding to that list.) I nominate sionnach's fake words, meant to be amusing, uselessness' Festival of Randomness, palooka's Nautical Words, chained_bear's Journey of a 300-Year-Old House, and one of jennarenn's three classics: Conversations, Idle Chatter, or Chit Chat. I can't decide, but the longest (and arguably finest) discussions are probably listed on Conversations.
I knew I'd never be able to decide! :-)

uselessness's Word Guidelines for Wordie started a good discussion on how we wanted to use the site.
Yeah, I was just gonna ask about that. ;) I can't choose one, but these two made me laugh out loud:
Name Suggestions for Ultra-Compact Cars and "Name Suggestions for Even Bigger SUVs and Trucks" as a set.
Evidently we can't put tags on lists. So for the time being we'll just list them here.
Action Movie in 50 Words
This tag is used to apply to "Nominated for List of the Year in 2007".
