  • Ohhhh. Like "palate." This is now easy to remember. Yay.

  • Indeed he was. :) Though the homage is more to the series in general than the specific character.

  • Wonderstanding is a combination of the words "wonder" and "understanding." It describes the feeling people have after learning something amazing. It is not only a recognition of the beauty of something (such as the world), but the feeling of increased awe a person experiences after understanding the true complexity of it. It indicates in the person a reverence for curiosity/wonder as well as a respect for the acquisition of knowledge.

  • nerdvana, noun.

1.) The perfect blend of logic and emotion.*

2.) Any state of bliss or inner contentment arrived at from engaging in a "nerdy" activity (including but not limited to: reading, doing integral calculus, celebrating Pi Day, etc). Similar to the feeling of "wonderstanding."

    * This word is credited to Scott Adams, who first used it in his Dilbert comic strip.

  • ! I can't say "rural" either. I thought I was the only one.

  • *Shudders at "sammich."* Personally, I've always hated "preggers." One neologism I can't stand is "ginormous." (Not a big fan of "chillax" either.)

BTW, great idea for a list.

  • Hey, I added a few words, hope you don't mind. :-) This was a great show.

    Edit: "A few" turned into 10. O_O M'bad. :P
