As a "state of mind", this is somewhere "normal", "ordinary", "colorless" (literally in the movie) and in gay parlance especially, "straight" – the Anti-Oz (the antipodes of Oz, if you will). It is somewhere we used to be and are now amazed, delighted, and a little frightened, to have left.
