Do they ride Harleys, I wonder? ;->
Fans of the rock band Skillet are called panheads.
Hi virago--no, I don't ride, but I have close relatives who do. I learned it all from them. They are Fonts of Hog Knowledge. :-)
reesetee, you seem to know a lot about Harley's. Do you ride? If yes, what do you ride?
They're still funny names for motorcycles.
The original motor (a Harley-Davidson) was named after the shape of the valve covers. The Panhead replaced the Knucklehead and then was itself replaced by the Shovelhead engine. :-)
I wonder how a motorcycle ended up with this moniker.
WordNet doesn't seem to be pulling this one up, but Dictionary.com says, "a rivet or screw head having the form of a truncated cone."
