I don't know, I feel like it's not even really sorry about anything--just putting on an act. Being sorry you got caught is still sorry, in a sense. But "I'm sorryish" is more like--gee, did I step on your foot? Oh, well... you probably deserved it.

I think it's more like "I'm sorry I got caught."
Oh...whoops.
I think of it more like: "Oh... whoops."
So this is somewhere between "My heartfelt apologies" and "Oh. Uh...I really didn't mean to do that"?
