Spanghew – to cause (esp. a toad or frog) to fly into the air off the end of a stick. (In northern and Scottish use.) Why? Well, all one has to do is imagine the myriad situations in which one might use this word.
(Michael Everson, Ireland)

Oh no, sionnach, by all means. Go ahead. Though that public list feature is a daisy, if you were so inclined.

Sionnach, I think you'd have a PB&J spanghwich if you were to cause it to fly into the air.

I do love this word. :-D

Oh, I just wrote down all the words I could think of for an -ngh- list. Maybe we could do it together, c-b?

Ooh! Ooh! Words for my Excrement list! Oh. They're already there.

Hm. Maybe I *will* make a -ngh- list. But first I have to finish the last 1.5 O'Brian thingies.

This just sounds like a word that was made up by a couple of bored linguistics grad students on a slow day at the office.

What if I cause my peanut butter and jelly sanghwhich to fly into the air. Is there a special word for that? Does it matter if the PB is smooth or crunchy? What about frog spraints? Or maybe I mean frog frass.

Say, chained_bear--I think you ought to start one.

There ought to be a list somewhere for words with -ngh- in them.
This is truly weird.

To throw or jerk violently--specifically, to cause to fly into the air, as with a toad or frog.

I'm not kidding. There's actually a *word* for this. Who writes this stuff?
