Daniella, how many times are you going to log on here as someone different and flog that website? Just wondering, because it's already getting a bit old.

Well, okay, daniella, that's a far more useful comment with more detailed information than the spam-comments by booyoboy. Thanks.

However, I take the liberty of pointing out that Wordie wasn't created to help people learn vocabulary, and though it certainly can be (and is!) used for that, it's not the primary purpose of the site. :) Enjoy!

Edit: bilby and I posted at the same time, though he used far more interesting vocabulary.

Edit edit: If anyone spent more than thirty seconds looking at Wordie, they might have figured out that sternwheeler is really one of the dumbest pages possible for this discussion to take place.

Well good luck to them. There's no reason why vocabbloat can't be an adjunct to Wordie with a slightly different emphasis; I don't know anyone who makes the claim Wordie is a vocabulary learning tool. Nevertheless, it certainly works that way for many of us as well as providing boundless riant in numerous other ways.
As someone who has been active on Wordie for a year or so, I simply resent some muttonheaded princock coming over here to spam us with palpably unquantified claims about the efficacy of vocablout. I stand by my comments about the homepage of that 'other' site. I have never signed up for any site that refuses to let me see what it actually is, and that includes vocabfog.
Numbat? How about lamer than a pregnant ant in a busted wheelbarrow? Wordie's achievements thanks to its benefactor John and its knowledgeable community speak for themselves. If vocabflounce is so cool why do you have to spam for patrons? Give us a fracture, puhlease.

bilby,

if vocabcloud's a three-legged numbat with a walking stick, so be it. I agree with booyoboy though, while the homepage is a bit vague, the tool is more useful for actually learning vocabulary.

btw, vocabcloud is made by a group called thinkermade, hence the thinkermade.com/vocab domain.

vocabcloud doesn't even have its own domain. Besides, one can't see what it is without signing up; so why would I sign up when I have no idea if it's any use to me? The whole site's lamer than a three-legged numbat with a walking stick.

Booyoboy, your comment might have a better effect on a different page, like features or bugs or something. I'm not sure anyone will find it here--or on any of the other ten unconnected pages it appears on. :)

Then again, since you only visited to spam a bunch of pages, and since you think vocabcloud is so much cooler, I don't suppose you'll ever see this comment. *sniff*
