Fundamentalists are generally unaware of the connotation of that label. They would say they are adhering to the fundamentals of the faith, which is a Good Thing. But I'm sure anyone would dislike the term theofascist. Except maybe, you know, fascists.

Side note: As a Christian, I believe in adhering to the fundamentals of the faith too... but I suspect my fundamentals are a lot different from their fundamentals. So I won't even bother trying to reclaim the word. It's already been lost, and the "fundamentalists" were responsible. But that's a conversation for another time. ;-)
