There's one of these near the Mechanics Training Institute in northern Wyoming known as Socket Tuya. Across the valley, in a historically German part of the state, is its sister volcano, Göttehandett Tuya. Local legends tell of a third one in the vicinity, known by the Navajo name Watappenhd Tuya, but every expedition that set out in search of it disappeared under mysterious circumstances.
I haven't even mentioned the one in rural Pennsylvania, Whatsit Tuya. But nobody cares about that one anyway.
A flat-topped, steep-sided volcano formed when lava erupts through a thick glacier or ice sheet. From this article in Wikipedia, which I stumbled upon when I was looking for more information about hayricks. (Why--because Hayrick Butte in Oregon is a tuya.)
usage note on gallinaceous.
Ah yes. Nothing like a note from the King of Madeupical Etymology to start the day. Thanks, uselessness. :-D
It may look like a flat-topped, steep-sided volcano in Wyoming tuya, but it looks like a socket to me. </ Rowan and Martin>.

I daresay our posteriors seem to have a great deal to do with many things on Wordie. It just works out that way....
What do our posteriors have to do with this? Oh...wait...
*bows head in reverence*
For the sake of our posterity, see discussion on rick.
Wow. I don't...wow.
